Tue Jun 18 22:26:07 UTC 2013 - New organization creation is available. Planned maintenance complete.
On Tuesday, 18 June 2013 from 14:00 PDT to 14:45 PDT, new organization creation will be unavailable on the Hosted Chef platform. Existing organizations will not be impacted.
The s3 bucket where builds are released was switched to “opscode-omnibus-packages”. As a result, we will be removing the old release bucket “opscode-omnitruck-release” on Thursday, May 30 2013. After that date, attempts to download builds from “opscode-omnitruck-release” will fail. Note that both install.sh and the Omnitruck API have been using the new bucket for some time, so if you are not using a custom way to download builds, you will not be impacted.

We apologize for the extension of the outage window. Thank you for your patience.

Hosted Chef is completely unavailable from 10 AM PDT to 11 AM PDT while maintenance is being performed.
During this downtime we will deploy opscode-bifrost, a new backend for
Hosted Chef’s authorization service. Testing shows that this new
backend outperforms the existing backend in terms of latency and
scalability. We will also be finishing maintenance related to a previous hardware failure during this window.
